SUMMARY:Fri 27th Sept - "The Priest's Tale"
DESCRIPTION:Michael Mears brought his production of “The Mistake” to Wesley Centre\, Chester last year. This year Chester Quakers will be putting on his latest production\, “The Priest’s Tale” at the Chester Quaker Meeting House.  The actor/playwright has made a new solo adaptation from John Hersey’s “Hiroshima” – an account by one of the very few survivors of the atomic bomb attack. \nFather Wilhelm was a German Jesuit priest living in Hiroshima in 1945.  He survived the blast\, but witnessed first hand much of the destruction.  “The Priest’s Tale” is a clear-eyed depiction of the the terror wrought at the start of our nuclear age\, told with compassion\, warmth\, and flashes of humour. \n
