DESCRIPTION:Mon 7th June – CWDF “Extra”:  TED Zoom talk & discussion “How Africa can keep rising” \n7.00 – 9.00pm.  A TED talk is a short video created from a presentation at the main TED (technology\, entertainment\, design) conference or one of its many satellite events around the world. Listening to/watching a TED talk gives us the opportunity to hear expert leaders who communicate effectively\, concisely and with passion for their subject. \nFor this CWDF “Extra” session we have selected this talk as a stimulus for discussion: ‘How Africa can keep rising’ given by Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala in 2016. She is a Nigerian-American\, a respected global economist and international development expert who took up her post as Director-General of the World Trade Organisation on 1st March 2021 –  the first woman and first African to hold the office. \nFor the Zoom link email bernard.payne691@btinternet.com
