SUMMARY:Wed 24th Oct - Chester to Newport "Peace Train"
DESCRIPTION:The ‘Peace Train’ is an event being organised by the Hereford Peace Council to ask Parliament to ensure that the UK becomes a signatory to the Nuclear Weapons Prohibition Treaty. A number of the Hereford Peace Council and supporters will ride a regularly scheduled Arriva train on the South Wales/North Wales line from Chester to Newport.  At each stop along the route\, they will collect any written messages and add them to the ‘mail bag’.  Each participating organisation will have a representative waiting on the platform to personally hand over their letter or petition. Messages from Chester will be delivered to the Peace Train at the entrance to Chester station. Chester CND will organise an opportunity for a press photograph as we hand over our letters to the Hereford Group\, important for reaching out to the public here. If you take part\, we’ll let you know\, nearer the date\, the train leaving time and our final arrangements.
