SUMMARY:Thurs 13th July\, CWDF Forum meeting
DESCRIPTION:CWDF July Forum Meeting: Thursday 13 July\, 7pm at The Unity Centre. \nWe are very much looking forward to meeting our new City of Chester MP Samantha (Sam) Dixon. We’ve invited her to talk to us about her impressions of Parliament\, her role and goals\, and aspects of the Labour policies on development issues – like the 0.7% of GDP for overseas aid.  [Please note the day is THURSDAY\, not our regular Tuesday] \nCAFOD’s campaign on the broken global food system \nThe latest part of CAFOD’s campaign to “Fix the Food System” focuses on “Seeds for All”.  CAFOD’s latest report shows how the World Bank is damaging local seed systems by forcing low-income countries to subsidise commercial seeds from big agri-businesses.  You can read the full report here. \nAt this Forum meeting there will be an opportunity to sign a giant letter which will be shared with the World Bank ahead of their annual General Meeting in October.
