- CDEC Developing Global Learning. CWDF was closely associated with the Development Education Centre based in Chester.
- Fair Trade Movement including support for local initiatives in Chester through the inter-agency Fairtrade Steering Group.
- Peace movement – including Coalition to Stop the War on Iraq 2002-2004
- Amnesty International, Chester & Wrexham
