Walking Together during Refugee Week 2021
During Refugee Week 2021, June 14th – 20th, Chester City of Sanctuary group are creating a unique public art installation entitled ‘Walking Together’ in Chester Cathedral gardens, to show support to those forced to flee violence and persecution.
We are hoping that over 1,000 people will ‘walk together’ with those seeking sanctuary by coming along Thursday 17th – Sunday 20th June, between 12 – 5pm, ‘planting’ one of our free flags and seeing our path of ‘welcome to Chester’ grow. Please come and join us on any of these dates and be part of creating this path of welcome in Chester.

On Sunday 20th June at 10.00am Chester Cathedral will be holding a special service for Refugee Week. The guest speaker will be Inderjit Bhogal co-founder of the City of Sanctuary movement. Prebooking required –available via Chester Cathedral website.
