During the last fortnight of April 2018 a group of mainly Civic Trust members toured Central Iran, a journey planned by Christine Russell – though she herself was not allowed a visa. “Impressions of Iran” will be an illustrated talk tracing the journey through the timelines of Iranian history, and what was seen  – archaeology and architecture, Paradise gardens and poets, Iran under the Ayatollahs.
