A lecture by Prof Joseph Howe, Executive Director of the University’s Thornton Energy Research Institute. In December 2018 the UK Government announced the Industrial Grand Challenge to enable the deployment large scale industrial decarbonisation infrastructure. This presentation provides an overview of this initiatives, detailing some of the initial proposals emerging from the UK, and examining how different localities are responding.
